How can I chase my pending certificate?

In some cases, it may take up to 5 business days to issue a certificate. Check out our article When and how will I receive my certificate?
If the certificate is pending for more than 9 days MyConstructor automatically opens a ticket with the contractor. Check your profile to see if any related tickets are open. Of course, you can open a ticket yourself by selecting the topic “Appointment-related issues”.

When and how will I receive my certificate?

Energy Performance Certificate (EPC):
You will typically receive your EPC via email within 1-3 business days.

Electrical Installation Certificate Report (EICR):
You will typically receive your EICR via email within 2-5 business days.

GAS Certificate:
You will typically receive your GAS Certificate via email within 1-3 business days.

You can download your certificate from your MyConstructor profile as well under the appointment details.

Can I amend the information on the certificate?

If you need to amend the information on your certificate, you can contact the contractor directly via message through your appointment details on your MyConstructor profile. Otherwise, you can open a ticket by selecting the topic “Appointment-related issues”. Attach any evidence needed. The Contractor will correct any mistakes on your certificate and provide you with the updated one. Depending on the mistake, further inspections might be needed occasionally with a charge.
Appointments

How can I reschedule my appointment?

To reschedule your appointment:
  • Login to your profile
  • Go to your Appointments
  • Select the “Reschedule” button
  • Select the new date you would like
  • Click the time slot from the available time slots displayed on your chosen date
  • Please note you can reschedule anytime up to 24 hours prior to the appointment start time. To reschedule within 24 hours from the appointment start time, please chat with us or give us a call.
You can also contact the contractor directly via message by selecting ”Message Contractor” either from the Appointment details in your profile or the confirmation email. Once you have settled on a new date & time the contractor will reschedule the appointment.

How can I cancel my appointment?

To cancel your appointment:
  • Login to your profile
  • Go to your Appointments
  • Select the “Cancel Appointment” button
  • In the pop-up, let us know why you are cancelling your appointment and hit the red “Cancel Job” button to cancel your appointment.
If your appointment is in less than 24 hours, the “Cancel Appointment” button will not be available and you’ll have to contact us directly. If this is the case, please chat with us or give us a call.

Where can I find the details of my booked appointment?

After booking your appointment a confirmation email will be sent to you. In this email, you will find all the necessary information about your appointment. You can select the button “View & Manage” in the confirmation email to access your profile and view the appointment there. If you don’t have an account you can still access your profile by following the link “I have an appointment but can’t log in” on our Login page

When will the Contractor arrive?

The contractor will typically arrive during the estimated time displayed in the confirmation email you received while booking your appointment. We do however allow up to approximately 30 mins extra for them to arrive and/or make contact with either the customer or MyConstructor.

In case something went wrong and your contractor hasn't turned up within the estimated arrival time, please contact us directly using the chat or by calling the offices and our agents will be glad to help you.

You can also contact the contractor directly via message by selecting ”Message Contractor” either from the Appointment details in your profile or the confirmation email.

How can I contact the Contractor?

From the moment you book your appointment with the contractor you can communicate with them directly via message by selecting ”Message Contractor” either from the Appointment details in your profile or the confirmation email.

The contractor’s phone number will be available at 15:00 one day before the appointment.In case you are still unable to reach the contractor in the aforementioned ways, please chat with us or call us.

What if I’m not happy with the contractor who has done my work?

In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the services of the contractor who has carried out your job, we suggest that open a ticket a ticket immediately so that we can investigate the matter. Select the topic that best describes the issue you are facing and attach any useful evidence.
At MyConstructor we take customer experience and feedback very seriously, so if for any reason an issue arises or you are not happy, we would love to know it so that we can find a solution!
Refund

How do I request a full or partial refund?

Here's how to request a refund:
  1. Sign in to your MyConstructor Profile
  2. Open a ticket
  3. Select the topic “I have a billing issue”
  4. Search and select the appointment you want to be refunded.
  5. Describe your issue in as much detail as possible and attach necessary evidence.
  6. Submit the ticket.
  7. After we have investigated what happened you will receive the agreed refund within 1-3 business days. We will notify you via email when your refund gets processed by us. Refund times are dictated by PayPal and are outside of our control.

Will I receive a refund if I cancel the appointment?

If you cancel your appointment up to 24 hours prior to the appointment start time and you have prepaid at the checkout then yes, you will receive a full refund. The refund should appear on your balance within 1-3 working days. Refund times are dictated by PayPal and are outside of our control.

My property was damaged or I had other issues with the service provided.

Please communicate the issue with us immediately. You can open a ticket and select the topic that best describes the problem. Our support agents or the contractor will need 1-3 business days to address the situation. In the meantime make sure to provide any necessary evidence related to the problem.
In most cases, you will receive full or partial reimbursement for the work undertaken.
Receipts & Invoices

How can I receive a receipt for a paid appointment?

Paying for an appointment by credit/debit card automatically generates a receipt of payment. Access it on your MyConstructor Profile on the My Records page. If you didn't pay for the appointment by credit/debit card, and you require a receipt for the work you have done, please chat with us or call our support team who will gladly assist in creating and sending you the required receipt by email. You can also open a ticket and select the topic “I have a billing issue”. Find the appointment you want the receipt for and submit the ticket. Once the receipt is created you can access it also on your MyConstructor Profile on the My Records page.

How will I receive an invoice for a paid appointment?

If you are invoice eligible and your appointment is completed, an invoice is automatically generated and sent to you by email. Another way to access your invoices is to simply log in to your MyConstructor Profile and visit "My Records" from the menu. You can review and modify the details of each invoice before downloading them. In addition, you can update all your invoice settings at once by selecting "Invoice Settings" on the same page.
Referrals & Vouchers

How can I participate in MyConstructor’s refer & earn program?

To participate in our refer & earn program, you need to register with us and obtain a unique referral link. You can then share this link with your friends and family through various channels, such as email, social media, or messaging apps.

When will I receive my reward for referring a friend?

Encourage your friend to use your referral link as well as the same email it was sent to when they book their home improvement service with MyConstructor. This is important as it ensures that we can track that the referral came from you. Once your friend has used your referral link to book the service, you will receive an email notification from us confirming that the referral has been successful and the credits will be awarded to your profile.

Where do I check on my vouchers and their expiration date?

To check the amount of credits and active vouchers, log in to your MyConstructor account and select "Vouchers" from the menu. You will see an overview of your active and pending credits at the top of the page. Further down the page, you can review the list of friends who have accepted your referral invitation and the number of vouchers you have earned. It's important to note that each voucher has an expiration date, which is displayed next to it.

How many friends can I refer?

There's no limit to the number of friends you can refer through MyConstructor's referral program, as long as they are new referrals who do not already have a MyConstructor account. However, please note that self-referrals or creating multiple accounts to earn rewards is strictly prohibited. Violating these rules can lead to disqualification from the program and loss of rewards.

Can I redeem my reward for cash?

Please note that any vouchers you have earned or have been issued to you by our Support Team are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash. They are only intended for use as a discount on future bookings made through our platform.
Account

I can’t sign in to my account.

On the login page, enter the same email address or mobile phone number that you used when booking an appointment with MyConstructor. Proceed to enter your password and log in. Read more on how to reset your password if you have forgotten it.

If you haven’t created an account at MyConstructor but you have booked a service through our platform, then on the login page select “I have an appointment but can’t log in”. Follow the instructions and you will get access to your account.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

On the login page, enter the same email address or mobile phone number that you used when booking an appointment with MyConstructor. On the next page, where the password is required, select “Reset Password”. In order for us to send you a password reset link you will have to enter the email address or mobile phone number associated with your account. Follow the link we sent you and create a new password. You will be automatically signed in after creating the password.

Do I have an account at MyConstructor?

A personal MyConstructor account is created the moment you book a service from the website. This allows quick and easy access for our agents to respond to your queries promptly. This profile is inactive until you decide to activate it. Read more on I can’t sign in to my account.

How do I delete my account?

If you're sure you'd like to delete your account, please make a deletion request by raising a new ticket. Select the topic “I have technical issues”, explain the reason you want to delete your account, and submit the ticket.

Be aware that access to your account will be restricted and all the data including appointment details and certificates will be deleted.
