The only issue I have is that when contractors argue over price - once the prepaid price has only been paid. I have been made aware that some contractors are charged between 20-50% of the price requested on the website. Please be aware that the contract if made through MYCONSTRUCTOR.COM is between you and them - what rate they pay the contractor is not the issue of the payee. Wishing you all a blessed day - and please remember that not all disabilities are visible - so please be respectful.

Professional Tiling Services From MyConstructor

Tiling is a process of laying ceramic tiles or stones to cover an area of flat surface. This is used for flooring and walls. A professional can create a tiled facade, or you might decide to do the job yourself with the help of our handyman service, which includes everything from stripping wallpaper or plastering walls.

What Is Tiling?

Tiling is the process of arranging a surface or series of surfaces in a repeating pattern. It can be a simple task, such as putting tiles in a bathroom or covering an unfinished floor with tile, or it can be more complex, such as creating a mosaic or installing stone flooring. Tiling can be done on any smooth, flat surface.

Most people think of tiling as used for floors and walls, but it can also be used for ceilings and other surfaces. For example, you could use tile to border the edge of a pool or to cover an area that needs to be waterproof. Tiling is also a great way to add character and style to your home without having to do any construction work.

Bathroom Tiling

When it comes to bathroom tiling, there are a few things you need to keep in mind. First, make sure the tiles are the right size and shape. You also need to take into account the layout of the bathroom, as well as the style of tile you choose. Finally, be sure to get professional help if you don't have any tile experience. Here are a few tips for tiling a bathroom:

  • Start by measuring the space where you want the tiles to go. Use a tape measure or a ruler to make sure everything is accurate.
  • Next, lay out your tile according to the measurements you took in step one. Try not to overlap any tiles and make sure each line of tile is perfectly straight.
  • Once your tile is in place, use a trowel or a flat shovel to smooth it out. Be careful not to gouge the surface of the tile or damage any underlying surfaces.
  • Finally, use a grout kit or mortar to attach the tiles together and fill any holes or gaps that appeared during installation. Be sure to clean up all leftover debris before you leave the bathroom tiling job!

When tiling a floor, it is important to take into account the slope of the flooring. If the flooring slopes downhill, it is best to tile with a grout that flows easily. If the flooring slopes uphill, it may be better to use a tile that sets more firmly. Additionally, it is important to consider how often you plan on using the room. If you use the room frequently, it may be best to tile directly onto the flooring.

If you plan on using the room less often, then it may be better to use a vinyl or rubberized tile that can be easily cleaned. Walls are also commonly tiled. When tiling walls, it is important to take into account how steep the wall is and how often you plan on using the room.
